AM STATION

Stuff you need

  1. Locate an AM radio antenna in your area (Look in the phone book, or call around)

How to do

  1. Ask your parent or an adult to drive you to the AM station antenna
  2. Tune your radio to that station's frequency (1450 etc.)
  3. When you are right at the station, turn the dial up and down and notice at how many different points you get the same station.
  4. These are harmonic intervals of the original.
  5. Drive away from the station and notice when you are far enough away that all the harmonics disappear, and you can only tune in the original station.

Extra stuff to do

  1. Try other stations, FM & AM
